iPad Directions and Management for Kinders

Using new technology in a kindergarten class takes a little time and management. Once the routine has been established, students can be successful with the use of the technology. In the past, I wrote a grant for iPods as a listening center. I designed step-by-step signs which assisted students in using the iPod effectively. Not only did I use the signs, but I modeled several times and had them practice (which is a HUGE must do)!! At the end of last year, I wrote a grant and received 2 iPads for my classroom. I needed to make a simple step-by-step guide for my kinders to use the equipment. Once I model and have them practice, these signs will be placed near the iPads.

I wish I had a picture of mine set up (I will be next week), but the 3rd step is used to show the child which app they should be working on that day. You can place velcro on the back of each and change them out as needed. I felt this was a simple solution, especially for my students with disabilities.

Just a heads up - if I were you, I would ONLY place one or two apps on the first page of the iPad, so they (hopefully) do not try to wander around in the iPad.

**If you need more apps represented than what is included, let me know (would be a small charge to add). I only included the apps I currently have at the time I designed this.**

You can get these here!
