My name is Kimberlee Fulbright. I am entering my 16th year as an educator: 1 year as a special education paraprofessional; 4 years in public school pre-k; 2 years special education co-teacher in 3rd, 4th, 5th; 3 years in Kindergarten; 4 years teaching 5th grade Reading/ELA; and this will be my 2nd year teaching 6th grade Reading/ELA. Although I have had a blog (a few blogs) for quite some time, I am at a point where I have a tad more time to update regularly. I am thrilled to share with others the items I make for my personal use and some of the experiences that that led me to where I am as an educator today. What is the vision of your blog? My vision is to provide information about my experiences, as well as items I create for my classroom to help other educators.
Here is a little more background:
In 2004, I graduated from Emmanuel College with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and was awarded the Outstanding Senior Award. In 2007, I earned my Masters degree in ECE Reading and Literacy. In 2008, I added the Special Education General Curriculum to my certification. December 2011, I completed my Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Teaching. Furthermore, I have added the 6-12 English to my certification and ESOL endorsement. I count it an honor and blessing to teach the precious children in our community! :)
My Family:
What about your life outside of the classroom?
My husband, Shannon and daughter, Chloe and I reside in Franklin County, GA. Chloe is entering 7th grade and is a phenomenal artist. She plans to pursue a career in the art field in the future. Additionally, my stepdaughter (1st grade teacher), Samantha Berryhill, and her husband, Austin, and our grandson, Renn, reside in Franklin County, GA. I have a passion for teaching children and count it an honor and blessing to do so. In the midst of being a wife, mom, and teacher, I enjoy spending time with my family, digital designing, playing board games, solving word puzzles, fishing, riding on the boat at the lake, reading my Bible, pinning on Pinterest, and playing with my cats (Erin, Caysee, Ryker, and Rylee).
